Imagining the travel experience 5+ years out with an IoT assisted prototype hotel room and its experience ecosystem.
We integrated digital and physical touch-points connecting the room with the digital app and guest loyalty profile for an intuitive experience that improves throughout multiple stays.

We created a prototype hotel room imagining an experience ecosystem using smart technologies (IoT, beacon, NPS) and their integration with Marriott’s digital and loyalty platforms.
Worked with Product Design, Experience Design, Strategy and Innovation, PR and brand teams, and external partners. Presented to C-Level executives. Concepts from this project were further developed into real-world solutions for brands including W Hotels, Westin and Marriott Hotels.

Omnichannel Experience Ecosystem
Created a circular user journey to determine opportunities and how the in-room technology can inform and inspire other touch points through different phases of the travel experience.

Prototype room designed to be brand agnostic to allow concepts and various user scenarios stand out.
Automated immersive storytelling
In-room devices were orchestrated to highlight signature moments and projection mapping was used for telling the story of how room enhances the guest experience for various personas and user scenarios.
Voice activated digital mirror for multi-modal interaction
Digital mirror with option to connect to bed sensor and personal wearable devices for customized exercise and nutrition recommendations, room controls and personalized messaging.

Guests can customize the in-room artwork throughout their stays using their online profile.

Low fidelity interaction prototype
Quickly testing and optimizing the projection mapping at scale, aligning on the storyline in real life before developing the final technology setup and artwork.
